~dances~ Just found an image of what the agate I posted the close up of yesterday looked like when it was found - it was gorgeous then, but even more gorgeous now!
A lovely agate in delicate shades of grey and white, lovely bands circling upwards. Set in a hand crafted sterling silver mount with a sterling silver chain.

This agate was done yesterday. It’s from a beach agate we found, I’m sure once upon a time it was a fairly large whole agate, but by the time the sea had done it’s bit on it it was just a sliver with nothing of the rough (outside) left of it.
First picture is after it’s been cut and shaped on the grinder. Second picture is after it’s been lapped and polished. It’s such a beautiful agate with lovely warm colours. If everything goes to plan it will be a necklace by tonight.
A beautiful agate, with stunning bands in white, grey and blue-grey. The bands are really defined, and stands out against the hand crafted sterling silver mount and sterling silver chain.
Sometimes things go very smoothly indeed, and sometimes they don’t. :)
This morning we found this interesting looking agate. It’s colours a delicious mixture of blues (in places nearly looking purple), reds and orange. Really looking forward to cutting it, to see how lovely it would be inside. However, things didn’t go to plan, and the agate cracked in to several small pieces, instead of the lovely slices we had plans on cutting it into. Still, very pretty, and the colours should come out a treat when lapped and polished.
Lost:
An amazing agate with the most beautiful bands, circles and dots. Mainly in red, but with a hint of blue in the background.
Set in a hand crafted sterling silver mount, with a double banded sterling silver ring that has an open back to make it adjustable to fit all finger sizes.
